Zander Rose is the executive director, and Clock Project Manager,
for The Long Now Foundation.
Designing for Resilience in Products and Strategy
The Long Now Foundation is dedicated to providing a counterpoint
to today's accelerating culture and helping make long-term thinking more common.
To support that ideal, the foundation is building a landmark clock, designed to operate
accurately for at least the next 10,000 years. Within such a project, resilience
becomes a prime consideration, shifting the way we think. Given the continuously
oscillating economy, companies can no longer afford to overlook resilience as a
strategic consideration in business plans or models. Resiliency must become an everyday word in our boardrooms.
Zander's keynote will set the tone for the discussions COFES
2013.
